1 Peter 3:15
but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, 

This verse is one of my personal favorites. We are told to always be ready to explain why we have hope. To have a defense.That speaks of preparation and understanding. Each believer is called to be ready to defend their beliefs. Many of you have heard of famous apologists such as Ravi Zacharias, but we are also called to be apologists. We are also called to understand our faith so that it can be defended. 

How do we do that? We are told to defend with gentleness and respect. Our explanation should be done in love. 

Are you ready to give a defense for your hope?

John 7-8

And the dispute continues about who this man Jesus is. They had witnessed Jesus speaking with unexplainable wisdom and performing miraculous healings. Yet some still thought he was demon-possessed, a blasphemer, or a suicidal nutcase. Verse 5 of chapter 7 tells us that even his own brothers didn’t believe in him. We shouldn’t be surprised then that it may be even harder for people today to believe that Jesus is God’s Son.    If you have settled the question of who Jesus is, and have accepted him as your Lord and Savior, it’s more important now than ever that you walk the walk, not just talk the Christian talk.  It’s true that you “may be the only Bible some person ever reads.” Let’s be the salt and light that our evil society needs. ~Elsie Shepherd

Matthew 23-24

Have you ever asked yourself the question…I wonder when Jesus will return? No matter where you fall in your view of End Times, there is going to be a day when Jesus comes back. When will it be? Today, tomorrow, next week or 50 years from now, we do not know. What we do know is that man is not able to predict the exact time that it will happen. The question that we should be asking is do we believe that Jesus is coming back? If the answer is yes, then the follow-up is “am I truly living like it could be today?” Because if we do, it changes the way we live our lives. Matthew 24:44  (ESV) Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Are you ready?
