The conversion of Saul who becomes Paul is an amazing story.
It reminds us that no one is too far gone to be forgiven. One man who sometimes
can be forgotten in this story is Ananias. Ananias is told by the Lord in a
vision to go and find blind Saul. Now, Saul had a reputation and it wasn’t for
being grumpy. Saul had a reputation for being evil and for persecuting Christians.
Ananias was asked to trust God and go to a horrible man. He was to trust that
God would protect him and Ananias obeyed. Being that Ananias had heard of Saul,
one would assume that Ananias knew people that Saul persecuted, yet he was faithful
to what God called him to. Are you faithful to what God has called you to? Even
if it is scary? Even if it involves someone you don’t like? Like Ananias, let’s
trust God!
